STORY OF MICAH HOUSE

Micah House was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  At a very young age he lost his father which instilled in him a deep sense of sentimentality regarding family.  As a way to process a world out of his control, young Micah began to write.  Creating stories full of characters he was in total control of became a form of therapy.  He wrote many tales, but at the age of 24 his first novel The Blanchard Witches came to life.  Then, as it does for everyone, life got in the way.  He moved to Birmingham, Alabama where marriage, building a business, and fatherhood tabled The Blanchard’s for two decades.  Micah continued to write, but as a columnist for two Birmingham magazines.  His dream of being a published author never faded, so at the age of 46 he sold his business and decided it was time to give The Blanchard’s life.  With the encouragement of his husband and son, he retooled and updated the story to expand it into an ongoing series.  Now the Blanchard Witches of Daihmler County and their continuing stories are a dream realized.  Micah believes its never too late to give your dream a chance.  Maybe it will work out, maybe it won’t, but you’ll never know unless you try.
